JoAnn Peñaranda

JoAnn Peñaranda was Senior Administrative Assistant to the LifeScan, Inc. Diabetes Solutions Companies North America Marketing and Customer Service organizations within Johnson & Johnson’s Medical Device and Diagnostics segment. She was responsible for providing administrative support to executives and management teams in meeting their department, and ultimately the company’s, goals and objectives.

JoAnn is known for taking the initiative to step outside of her normal administrative duties due to a wealth of 20 years professional experience varying in the areas of nursing assisting, accounting, manufacturing, retail, and general management. She began her Johnson & Johnson career in 2000 as an administrative assistant in the Research, Development, and Engineering organization supporting Directors in the Applied Research and Advanced Research groups. She quickly advanced through administrative duties, training staff to purchase against capital budgets exceeding $2M, to providing executive support to the RD&E Vice President. With the acquisition of the Ultra platform business in 2003, JoAnn transitioned to the Customer Service organization and was named Senior Administrative Assistant where her primary focus was to support the Worldwide Vice President.

Outside of work, JoAnn is an advocate for Team In Training, the world’s largest endurance sports training program benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. From San Francisco to San Diego to Washington, D.C., JoAnn has completed 9 half marathons and raised nearly $10,000 for LLS in the last two years. She enjoys traveling and has been to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on business to execute logistics and present at the Johnson & Johnson Call Center Consortium; and to Buffalo, New York to facilitate the Customer Service Vendor Management Team’s Town Hall Meeting.
