As Gannett's Director of Social Media and Engagement, I work with Gannett's 100+ local markets and help train, champion, support and manage social efforts and staffers across the U.S.

I've been with Gannett since 2000 and transitioned to social media in 2008, although I had been experimenting with social networks since 2003.

I find my degree in Sociology is a perfect fit for my current role as I am equally intrigued by the behaviors in social media as I am the technologies.
