Joelle B. Burnette

online content producer, Writer, and Web Developer in California,

I am the author of Cancer Time Bomb: How the BRCA Gene Stole My Tits and Eggs, and Freedom Doesn't Just Come Along with a Tree. As well, I have two more books currently in production and I was ghost writer for another novel.

I am a freelance online content producer for KRON4 News in San Francisco, I am the web editor of RedwoodWriters.org and developed/update Pinterest pages for the Redwood Writers—the largest chapter of the California Writers Club—and I am an editor of the "Untold Stories" 2016 Anthology. In addition to designing graphics for websites and print (including cover designs for books), I am an award-winning journalist, including being awarded Gold in 2014 by the International Parenting Media Association. I was a writer for a New York Times daily newspaper in Northern California after having written for other newspapers.

Prior to receiving my master’s in journalism/communications from Stanford University, my writing experience also extends to my work in television news in San Francisco (e.g., KPIX News), congressional offices on Capitol Hill and in California, and media relations on presidential and other regional political campaigns.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy camping, traveling, photography, painting, swimming and spending time with my family. I have won several awards for my paintings and photography in judged shows.
