Throughout his career as a touring musician, Joel shared the stage with artists such as Kenny Lattimore, Phil Perry, Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, Ledisi, Maysa, Chanté Moore, Lalah Hathaway, Avery Sunshine, Kindred the Soul Family, The National Symphony Orchestra, 7 Sons of Soul, Julian Junior Marvin and The Legendary Wailers. He has also made appearances on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, TBN, Tom Joyner Morning Show and CBS’ The Early Show. Although Joel has recorded and toured extensively with renowned artists, his mastery caught the attention of the "Prince of Sophisticated Soul", Will Downing, in 2010. Garnering the trust as a "go to" musician, Joel is a fixture in Downing’s recording and traveling band. When not on tour or in the studio, Joel volunteers his talents to the youth at the Yashim Studios Academy where he is affectionately known as "Uncle Joel". One day, he hopes to open a music school in his native Washington, DC.
