Librarian in Front Royal, Virginia
I serve as the George L. Ohrstrom, Jr. Librarian at the National Sporting Library & Museum (NSLM) in Middleburg, Virginia. I hold a Masters degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama.
I got my start in libraries as a student assistant in the cataloging department at my undergraduate college's library. After my graduation in 2008, I spent two years as a jounralist for a small suburban newspaper in Philadelphia. Following the closure of that paper, I enrolled in graduate school and moved to the Washington, DC area as a contract cataloging assistant for a project at the Government Printing Office. Prior to my arrival at NSLM, I was a software trainer at The Library Corporation, a company that produces software for libraries across the country.
I make my home in Front Royal, Virginia with my wife and three children. I am currently serving a four-year term on the Front Royal Town Council.
