The son of an aircraft mechanic, John Haag was born in Karachi, Pakistan, where his father was stationed at the time. The family ultimately settled in greater Newport News, Virginia, where John Haag developed a passion for jazz. Matriculating at the University of North Texas in Denton for his undergraduate education, he initially studied to become a jazz musician but changed his major and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He went on to obtain a master of business administration from Columbia University in New York City.

John Haag’s professional accomplishments include renegotiating the majority of Trinity Flywheel Power’s legal contracts as its executive vice president, negotiating a $400 million venture funds, and developing a comprehensive platform for accelerated technological and market growth as the chief financial officer of Get Media, Inc. In recent years, he has devoted himself to advising other business professionals as the managing partner of Callister Haag Consulting in San Francisco.
