One of my favorite emails from a Moth listener:

Is there anything better than praise from a total stranger? Me thinks not!! Caught your story on The Moth last night and was compelled to shoot you a quick email. Your story was, simply put, fantastic and driven by such a basic tenet of faith: be a good person, work hard, and God will take care of you (I’m paraphrasing, so forgive the misquote). As a devout Episcopalian (i.e. Lutheran-like) I subscribe to simple creeds that require little thought or processing; maybe that’s all this little brain can handle. You summed it up beautifully (or I guess your father is owed some credit for that one). Anyway, kudos on a wonderful/scary tale, beautifully told, and a clear, powerful message. Long live The Moth!!!!
