I started working life on a farm picking sprouts.

As a student I spent time with the Royal Marines on their undergraduate bursary and then climbed my way back from a big injury and after a number of years building climbing walls, finally fell into education through the Teach First programme.

Following a few years as a senior leader in a challenging school in Manchester I founded edapt.org.uk in 2011, which is changing the way teachers source legal and employment support in the UK.

When I'm not working, I'll be doing one of the following, highlights so far include:

Mountain - Broad Peak (Pakistan), Colton-Macintyre (Grandes Jorasses)

Triathlon - Ironman UK, Alpe D'Huez

Climb - First ascents and repeats upto E8 worldwide

Run - Sahara Marathon, London, OMM, Loch Ness

Ski - Mt Damavand (Iran), Haute Route
