John Amicucci

An experienced executive in the construction industry, John Amicucci currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of DeFoe Corp. in Mount Vernon, New York. Before becoming the leader of DeFoe, Amicucci spent nearly 20 years with the company, holding such positions as Executive Vice President, Equipment Supervisor, Project Superintendent, and Heavy Equipment Operator. He assumed his current role in 1992.
John Amicucci supports the efforts of a number of community service organizations in the Tri-State Area and beyond. In particular, he contributes to the Columbus Citizens Foundation. A nonprofit organization in New York City, the Foundation works closely with members of the community to cultivate an appreciation of Italian-American heritage. Thanks to the support of Amicucci and others, the Columbus Citizens Foundation sponsors its annual Columbus Day Parade, which it says is the largest celebration in the world devoted to Italian-American heritage and Christopher Columbus' voyage.
Aside from his work with the Foundation, Amicucci serves as the Finance Chairman of the La Paz Golf Committee, which holds an annual fundraiser to support children in Peru, namely those living with physical challenges. In this role, he provides financial oversight and helps the committee maximize its operating efficiency.
Other organizations supported by Amicucci include St. Jude Children's Hospital, Boys Town of Italy, the American Cancer Society, and Urban Youth Impact for Inner-City Youth & Their Families. An avid golfer, he belongs to The Hudson National Golf Club in New York and the Loxahatchee Golf Club in Florida.
John Amicucci holds an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Westchester Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College.
