John Botzolakis

Educated at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, John Botzolakis holds a BA in chemistry, an MS in pharmaceutical sciences, and a PhD in industrial-physical pharmacy. For the past 16 years, he has served as president and chief executive officer of Soma Labs, Inc., a Middlesex, New Jersey-based nutritional product developer that employs 55 workers and operates in accordance with all Good Manufacturing Practices and United States Food and Drug Administration regulations. John Botzolakis oversees all aspects of Soma Labs’ daily operations, including product research and development, the purchase of materials and equipment, safety assurance, and quality control.

Before joining the team at Soma Labs in 1998, John Botzolakis managed the production of nutritional products as the director of operations at Kabco Pharmaceuticals in Amityville, New York. Mr. Botzolakis got his professional start in the pharmaceutical industry as a research associate at Warner Lambert in Morris Plains, New Jersey, where he developed a number of investigational and new drug application products.
