John Grange

I am a Dad, husband, suffering Buffalo Bills fan, recovering Cleveland Indians fan, Space and Science enthusiest, investor, a proponent of Open Source software, and an advocate for entrepreneurship.

My technical background is centered on web based content delivery and enterprise data networks (Formally Cisco trained). In 1998 I founded Digital Bath which was a web development firm that focused on the, small but growing, affiliate marketing industry. We also helped higher education institutions find and implement web-based tools that later became the digital classrooms (Early Blackboard implementer) you see today.

In 2004 I Co-Founded PowerDNN, a web hosting company that specializes in hosting automation and support for the DotNetNuke web application framework. In 5 years time we grew to be the worlds largest hoster of DotNetNuke applications and the worlds fifth largest provider of .NET applications worldwide.

My experience helping medium-sized to Fortune 1000 companies with delivery of digital marketing initiatives made me keenly aware of how changes in technology were driving a major paradigm shift in the media and marketing world. Mobile technology and connected devices are making content strategy multidemensional and marketing departments are becoming a technology center that was never designed to service varying and complex technology needs.

In 2011 I co-founded Layered Innovations, an end-to-end content services platform delivering the tools to manage the entire life-cycle of your brands cloud, mobile, and social initiatives. Our technology allows you to seamlessly build robust digital marketing campaigns using mobile optimized video, social media, and web content delivered to any device via a global content delivery network.
