John Greaves III

Dallas, GA

John Greaves III is a first generation immigrant from Monrovia, Liberia which he left with his mother shortly after a coup d' etat in April of 1980.

Greaves graduated from high school at the age of 16 and since earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has been a bouncer, amateur kickboxer, insurance claim adjuster, construction worker, strength coach and freelance writer. He's been shot at on three continents, is a former Southern Regional Champion for the International Kickboxing Federation and twice has had to subdue attacking dogs barehanded. Most importantly, he's an unstoppable juggernaut at Jeopardy! Since turning his competitive drive to powerlifting, Greaves has medaled in the Southern Powerlifting Federation, Sonlight Power and USA Powerlifting.

He resumed his writing career in down time between artillery fire missions just outside Falluja, Iraq during the historic Operation Phantom Fury. His first short story, "Pit Stop" is available exclusively on Amazon Kindle.
