John Knific

My name is John. I'm a jazz pianist, entrepreneur, and currently CEO of CitizenGroove Inc., a video recruitment Software-as-a-Service provider. We license our software to music programs for digital auditions and have applicants all around the world using us to apply to the best programs in the country. BusinessWeek recently voted our team among the top 25 young entrepreneurs in the US. Working for a startup, my roles are very diverse, but primarily include fundraising ($500K to date), product design and planning, and general operations. We're a very portable company, most of us work remotely from our 'laptop offices'. I love to cook...my fiancée and I spend way too much time in the kitchen. I was raised by two musician parents and grew up a jazz lover. I still actively gig and compose when I can and have had the opportunity to work with some amazing musicians, friends and family included.
