John Lenczowski

John Lenczowski of Washington, DC, has devoted his career to understanding foreign relations and national security and sharing his knowledge with others. A former executive of the National Security Council (NSC) and adviser to President Reagan, John Lenczowski founded The Institute of World Politics (IWP) in 1990. Under his guidance, IWP has become known as a center for graduate studies and certificate programs in statesmanship. IWP works to facilitate a full comprehension of the arts of statecraft used in international politics, with an emphasis on ethics and Western values. It is the only institution of its kind in the United States.

In addition to his work at the IWP, John Lenczowski has served as an adjunct professor of national security studies at Georgetown University, a consultant on human rights for the Department of State, and a senior fellow at the Council for Inter-American Security.

Before beginning his career, John Lenczowski completed his BA in history and international relations at the University of California, Berkeley. He went on earn his MA and PhD in international relations from Johns Hopkins University.
