John Metta

I've spent the past 20 years working in a combination of software development, anthropology, and mathematical modeling.

We live at the nexus of human culture and the computer. Our world is one where visualization, modeling, and analysis of human data and information, from what we learn, to what we love, is the key to everything we do.

And that work is what I love to do.

It's a magical time to be in software.

I build back-end data-driven web-enabled applications using the magic spells of our age. From languages like Python, Ruby, and Scala to technologies like Hadoop, Node.js, and Rescue.

This is a magical time for software.

This is a magical time for us.
