My name is Johnny Peralta.

I am a Christian, husband, and father born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I am a retired Army Soldier that served 20 honorable years for our country. During my last assignment I served as the Senior Data Systems Integrator for the 2-10th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division Fort Drum, New York.

I was nominated by my cousin Edwina Roybal Sanchez to run for Man and Woman of the Year in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Together we share a passion for finding a cure for all types of cancers and beating the battle that many people face on a daily basis and that we can only imagine. Plain and simple cancer sucks, and we want to kick its butt.

I love what I did for our country, but now I hope to gain new friends and experiences you can only get from hard work and dedication to a great cause. Our team is highly motivated and prepared to go the distance. We plan on raising as much awareness and money to as it takes to play our part in this fight we all fight against cancer.

When I'm not working on my bachelors in Management Information Systems I love traveling, spending time with family and friends, going camping, or just taking a run through the neighborhood.
