Johnny Dub (Born January 1989) was born and raised in the HEART of the city in TORONTO. Music has always been a part of Johnny's life, during his early childhood years he grew up listening to musical legends/icons Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Prince. His mom bought him a tape deck radio player and gave him countless tapes of MJ Bob and Prince music to listen to. As Johnny got older his father started introducing him to jazz music and a little bit of hip hop. "I remember figuring out how to record myself on my tape player and just developing this desire to keep recording myself for some reason...I was only 9". Growing up as a teen having less guidance and more influence Johnny Dub played basketball in high school then worked In and out of jobs studied in college here and there until he found his TRUE PURPOSE in this world. "God has put me through enough in life to realize what my purpose is on this earth...it's to be a SUCCESSFUL hip-hop ARTIST". Johnny believes that HIPHOP is falling off due to the reasons why some people are doing what they're doing, "Now a day’s dudes turn on the TV and see nice cars, girl’s money and that stuff, so they think hey! I want that to what'd he do to get it? Oh yea? That’s it? Damn ima go do that too!....And that’s where they get it ALL wrong". Johnny Dub has a SERIOUS PASSION for music, he's going for the top and is willing to DIE for it. His goal is to bring REAL hip hop music to the game using new sound while keeping that soul full TORONTO feeling....ENJOY HIS MUSIC!!
