John Starling uses his business skills and real estate knowledge to serve many clients in the Wilmington, NC area. For over twenty years, he co-owned and managed the consistently #1 ranking Century 21 real estate offices in the eastern North Carolina area, working his way up from Secretary and Treasurer in 1974 to President of the Century 21 Main Street Realty, Inc., office in 1990. From 1990 to 1995, John Starling ran this very successful office in Wilmington, NC, serving the Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Wilmington, North Carolina area and taking it from start up to the rank of 13th top producing office in North and South Carolina. With Mr. Starling's excellent leadership, his real estate brokerage companies won many awards, including the National Quality Service Award and the title of Gold Medallion Office and Centurion Office for many consecutive years. In 1996, Mr. Starling left his position as president to merge his Century 21 Main Street Office with Century 21 Sweyer and Associates and became retention manager and real estate broker and associate for properties in Wilmington, NC. He excelled in this role, becoming the top-selling agent for his area and ranking as number 36 out of over 70,000 Century 21 agents for closed sales during his first 6 months in that position.

While achieving success with Century 21, John Starling was simultaneously gaining experience in the real estate development and construction field by developing many single family and multi family subdivisions. He produced hundreds of residential building lots, homes, and condominiums. From 1979 to 1989 he served as CFO of CoVest, Inc. a development company completing construction of over 600 multi family residential units in the coastal North Carolina area. From 1980 to 1983, he established, organized, and led the Topsail Reef Homeowners Association, serving 240 members and managing a $200,000 yearly budget before transitioning the association to board control. Between 1983 and 1988, Mr. Starling developed and led the Topsail Dunes, St. Regis, and St. Moritz Homeowners Associations.
