Jonathan Frahm

Writer, Editor, and promoter in Tucson, Arizona

While I was growing up, I knew that I had a knack for writing but never knew how to really use it. One can only get so far with comic strips drawn in crayon! The turning point was when I met my sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Paxton, who encouraged me to pursue writing more seriously. Among my sixth grade English assignments were daily 200-word current event reports and, for my final, a presentation of a 10,000 word novella!

That novella became 'Rocket 2032', my first book, published at age 14. When my family and I moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Tucson in 2008, I realized that I had a deep-rooted passion for the arts and entertainment that so prevalently pervade our Old Pueblo. Since then, I've incorporated my love for the arts (particularly music!) and writerly passion into a career as a journalist, editor, and promoter for a multitude of publications and venues including PopMatters, For Folk's Sake, and Monterey Court Studio Galleries and Cafe.

I love what I do and I am continuously looking for the next great opportunity to a build strong, long-term, and mutually beneficial professional relationship. At the moment, I am working as a freelancer, but am thriving to find an opportunity to work full-time or part-time positions, as well.

If you think that I would be a good fit for your next project, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected].
