32 years old. Mexican.

Jonathan woke up intellectually at the age of 17. He is convinced that democracy is the perfect tool for the world order.

Currently he lives in California and works in public service (legislation) and the private sector (translation and interpretation). Earlier he also worked in the public sector (translation and interpretation, education, elections, and administration), and in the private sector (interpretation and translation, retail, and education).

Before he had also worked in the public and private sector in and for different of Mexico’s local governments and a consulting firm, planning and executing public policies focused on women’s empowerment and development, social prevention of violence, also on governance affairs and press offices.

He also worked planning and executing a primary campaign (outreach, communications, and agenda setting) for an independent assembly member in Queretaro, Mexico, and as running mate.

Other of his works and passions include journalism and literature for his own blog, Nueva Prosa, other digital and printed media, and Host for Public Radio (Queretaro) as part of a fellowship. For his works and projects he has gone deeply into politics, literature, arts and culture, among others.

Jonathan graduated from California State University with a degree in Political Science. He had also studied some courses of philosophy, government, arts and culture, and law, in public and private education institutions in Mexico. Additionally, he has attended other courses such as Data Science, and Business in California. Later he will start his graduate studies in International Relations, Policy and Development.

He has been volunteering for the Sacramento LGBTQ Center, the Ventura and Sacramento Counties’ Homeless Count, Ventura Unified School District, the Ventura County Library, and with Food Cycle LA.
