Jonathan Z Rubin

One of the earliest pioneers of the modern day hotel-industry, Jonathan Z. Rubin implemented ideas that changed the landscape of hotels forever. Envisioning a hotel that could provide a unique and luxurious experience, he created the nation's first boutique hotels in the 1980s. His distinctive design featured larger suites than his competitors offered, before this aspect became standard practice. In 1986, his efforts were rewarded when he was named Senior Vice President of a Washington, D.C. area hotel management company. Before becoming the youngest Senior Vice President ever for the company, Rubin has led other businesses in the hotel industry in a similar role.

As President of a new hotel management company in the early 1980s, Jonathan Z. Rubin acquired partial ownership of 20 hotels located all over the United States. Wielding expertise in marketing strategies, Rubin executed the proposal for corporate suite hotels into fruition. The addition to the industry features large, sometimes two-bedroom suites for professionals on the road, at an affordable rate. He also established long-term residency plans such as hotel leases. At one point during the peak of his career, Jonathan Z. Rubin managed over 1,000 employees. Total accumulated revenue from all 20 hotels continually exceeded $100 million annually as well.

Throughout his career, Rubin has maintained his desire to providing an intimate, personal concierge service. Utilizing this method, Rubin ran the world's first chain of hotels made up exclusively of suites. Rubin places customer service and satisfaction as his number one priority, believing a positive experience should be automatic. Working under this philosophy has generated decades of continued success.
