Hello, and welcome to a snowy Putney. Rare in my part of the world these days though 100 years ago when the bridge I am stood on was built the Thames below would freeze solid to a meter (sorry yard) or more thick. Now that’s a winter.

I have two things in my work life; management and investment. The latter is a love and a passion since I was a boy, the former has been learnt the hard way by starting firms. The list includes justringring.com (failure but fun), Rockshore Ltd (a £3 million turnover hit), Norden Capital LLP (my investment partnership) and Tangaro Ltd (my management and development company). I am now chairman of Rockshore and Managing Director at Tangaro where we are building a web clipping service called clipDO, initially for #kindle but more mobile devices soon. clipDO aims to be the leading site for single article distribution across the internet.

Outside of all this I read… anything and everything, run the local Putney Basketball Club and try my best to not be utterly hopeless at cricket.
