Co-owner and Chief Executive Officer of Partners in Achievement Learning Centers, Joseph Frey, PhD, ABPP, has dedicated his 30-year career to the field of clinical psychology. Dr. Frey spent the first nine years of his career teaching at both the University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Medicine and the Medical College of Georgia (now Georgia Health Sciences University) in Augusta. In addition to serving as a full-time faculty member, he also directed the Family Therapy Training and Services Division in the Department of Psychiatry between 1983 and 1989.

Dr. Frey continues to hold an adjunct faculty teaching position in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia. Joseph Frey also currently operates a private practice offering psychological consultations to children and adults, providing management consultation to businesses and corporations, and performing career assessments. As an affiliate of The Highlands Company, Dr. Frey often administers The Highlands Ability Battery during career development consultations to identify an individual's strongest career options.

Additionally, he devotes his time to his company, Partners in Achievement Learning Centers. Designed to assist students struggling with auditory and visual processing problems, poor memory, and attention difficulties, Partners in Achievement has channeled the expertise of several leading psychologists into the development of a program that makes learning easier and faster. Furthermore, as children go through the assessment process, Dr. Frey and his associates are able to recommend whether or not parents should consider medication for attention deficit disorder. Active in his community, Dr. Frey maintains membership in the Evans Lions Club, participating in a variety of fundraisers. He has served a term as Church Council President at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and has taught Sunday school classes. A member of the West Lake Country Club for nearly 20 years, Joseph Frey enjoys playing golf.
