I've been a user, designer, and developer of applications/systems that require modems since 1981 — over 35 years on "the Internets," as we called them back then.

I wrote a #2 Amazon Kindle best selling book on the advertising industry called “Digital Doesn’t Matter (and other advertising heresies)” and designed a special iPad app to keep it continuously up to date — while reinventing what a book should be today.

I've also been a traditional advertising copywriter, graphic designer, pre-press operator and technician, video editor, studio photographer, creative director, lecturer, columnist, programmer, digital strategist, chief creative, all around Web guy, and 30-year-old CEO (well, for one year anyway).

Those jobs happened all over the place for ad agencies, big manufacturers, nonprofits, and the like. Jakarta, Tel Aviv, Singapore, New York, Austin — so that explains why I speak some Indonesian and Hebrew. Otherwise, that would just be weird. Now I run Heresy because the status quo of traditional advertising just doesn't seem to be working anymore, eh?
