Joshua Buhler

Joshua Buhler is a general corporate and securities lawyer with experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and international transactions. Josh frequently represents startup and development-stage companies, as well as established businesses. He has represented major financial institutions, such as JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Citigroup in sophisticated financial and other transactions. Josh regularly counsels clients on the full range of their activities, from raising seed capital through acquisition. He also represents investors in structuring, managing and disposing of investments. Josh handles organizational, structuring and operational matters for companies, as well as venture capital and other private placements. He has both company-side and investor experience, and represents capital sources in making preferred stock investments. Josh’s experience reaches industries as diverse as the media and entertainment, healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, technology and automotive industries. He has handled transactions in many areas of the world, including Europe, Latin America, China and India. Josh served as an adjunct instructor at Cornell Law School during the fall 2010 term. Previously, Josh was associated with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York and Proskauer Rose LLP in Los Angeles. He began his career in the New York office of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. Josh received a B.A. in Economics and English from the University of Toronto, magna cum laude. He earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he was a member of the Cornell Law Review and Moot Court Board. He is admitted to practice in New York and California. Email Me
