Born and raised in the city of Miami.
I'm passionate about my city and its world class potential. Growing up in the last residential home to sell on my block in Brickell before development engulfed the city, I feel a strong connection to the city's core. I've learned to recognize my area more for its grime and history rather than its glamour and glitz.
I've developed an appreciation for the uniqueness of South Florida - socially and geographically. Blessed with a childhood rich with memories in and outdoors, I grew up playing sports, discovering the internet, fishing in the Florida Keys, browsing newsgroups and IRC channels, and camping with friends and my Boy Scout troop on Virginia Key Beach. I take pride in knowing how to tie a clove hitch knot, and building a new PC from scratch.
Besides the casual up-vote on Reddit or answer on Quora, I try to stay on the cutting-edge of technology adopt new tech and tech-related services relatively early. In my downtime I research programming, design trends, cryptocurrencies, monitor investment trends, hang out with my beagle, play basketball, mountain bike, and enjoy the occasional video game binge.
During college, I worked at an art gallery and custom framer in Miami, FL (I've Been Framed) where I helped manage operations and coordinate the company's technology stack and digital direction. I enjoyed the growth of the art and design districts, and still use my connections in the industry to stay informed about the local community and current events.
I identify as a futurist, concerning myself with what's possible, probable, and preferable. I understand the presence of wildcards, but tend to embrace change positively no matter the level of impact. Most recently, I was the Lead of Client Side Development at Bitstop, a Bitcoin focused technology company providing Florida with simple and safe solutions for buying Bitcoin.
