Josh Hunter

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

I'm a pilot for Piedmont Airlines, a wholly-owned regional of American Airlines. I have been in love with flying since before I can remember and I count myself incredibly blessed to get paid to do it.

I'm a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP), meaning I'm factory-certified to give training in Cirrus airplanes.

In my spare time, I'm a Major in the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. We are a search-and-rescue and aerospace education volunteer organization. CAP is a perfect blend of my two passions, aviation and helping others.

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio with my bride, Mary Beth Ellis. We have no children of our own, so we get to spoil our nephews, who also live in Cincinnati, at every opportunity. Mary Beth is an amazingly talented freelance writer. I say that not because I'm married to her. It was through her writing that we met, so I was a fan first, then married her. She is working on her second book, based on her experience shadowing The Ohio State University Marching Band for a year. Please check out her blog at BlondeChampagne.com and look for her articles that crop up on other sites, places which have also recognized her incredible talent.
