Josh Matacotta, Psy.D.

I am a staff psychologist and the research & assessment coordinator at California State University, Fullerton's Student Health & Counseling. At Counseling and Psychological Services, I provide clinical services to college students with the goal of supporting student academic and personal success. I'm extensively involved in assessment and research that looks at the impact of health-related student affairs services on graduation and retention.

I completed my one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Cal Poly Pomona's Student Health & Counseling Services in 2013. In addition to counseling services, I conducted research to evaluate the efficacy of a cognitive-behavioral treatment group treatment for social anxiety. I was a co-founder and member of the Transgender Task Force, and successfully launched our first full-day CE conference, Outside the Lines - Strengthening Transgender Health & Resiliency.
