Josh Peterson adteractive

New York, NY

Josh Peterson Adteractive is a New York City business executive with a lifelong entrepreneurial sprit. Even as an undergraduate at the University of Vermont, Mr. Peterson paid for the majority of his educational expenses by operating his own house painting company during his summer breaks. By the time he graduated with his business degree in 1995, he supervised a crew of 10 experienced painters.

Josh Peterson’s Bachelor of Science credentials soon earned him a job with the Department of Commerce in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After a few months dealing with a large government bureaucracy, however, he quickly realized that his true passion lay in creating and managing his own business enterprises. Returning to the United States, Mr. Peterson found success with a private import company before breaking into the emerging Internet advertising market in the early 2000s.

From 2000 to 2006, Josh Peterson served as Chairman of Adteractive, a performance-based online advertising firm headquartered in Manhattan. After building the business from the ground up and running it profitably for six years, Mr. Peterson was able to sell his equity stake and travel around the world for six months.

Returning from his travels, Josh Peterson Adteractive became involved with the New York nonprofit Charity: Water. He volunteered his services for just under a year as the organization’s full-time Chief Operational Officer, structuring and implementing its state-of-the-art information technology, accounting, and customer relationship management systems.

Since October 2009, Mr. Peterson has served as founder and Chairman of Rentfeeder, a leading supplier of residential rental marketing syndication services in the New York City area. As an angel investor, he also provides critical management advice to a number of businesses in the healthcare, finance, and Internet sectors.
