Joshua Carroll

Joshua Carroll is a Software Engineer and Information Security Specialist for the Department of the Army. He is especially interested in assistive technologies, cryptology and cipher algorithms, speech recognition, speech synthesis (artificial-voice phoneme development) and packet radio.

He is also a Public Address Announcer, and has announced baseball and football games for Pulaski Academy, football and basketball games for LifeChamps Youth Sports, and basketball for Central High School - all of Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. He has announced several tournaments including the annual Jammin' for Jackets Tournament.

While in the Army, he was a meteorologist, print journalist, and broadcast journalist (seen on the Pentagon Channel).

When he's not behind a keyboard, he enjoys spending time with his family, leading his step-son's Cub Scout Pack, Geocaching, hamming it up with Amateur Radio, playing guitar, or working on his mountain dulcimer. Joshua is married to the beautiful and talented Christina Carroll.
