John Ball

I've spent my career helping to start and grow software companies. I had tons of fun raising more than $200mm, completing three IPOs, launching incredible products, and helping customers. Today I plow my energies into helping entrepreneurs, private-equity firms, and venture capital further monetize the value of their visions and hard work through the sale, purchase, or recapitalization of software and technology companies. More often than not, I get my hands completely filthy helping them advance the success of their business, which I dearly love.

I was a late bloomer in life, marrying and starting a family (four beautiful children) when I turned 40. My wife and children are intensely precious threads in the tapestry that is my life. The background here is some of my daughter's early artwork.

Like my friends here in Boulder County, I cycle, hike, and ski the surrounding mountains. When I am not working to fit companies together, you can find me chasing that elusive bogey-free round on the golf course.
