Joel Saà-Seoane

Born in 1986 in Barcelona, he gets two degrees in Mathematics and Civil Engineering in 2008 and 2009 within the high performance center CFIS at UPC-BarcelonaTech. In 2008, Joel writes a book on Calculus and starts his career as an Adjunct Professor at the UPC-BarcelonaTech. In January 2010 joins a graduate program at MIT carrying out a MS at the Computation for Design and Optimization Center and a PhD at the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department. He focuses his research on the simulation and optimization of metamaterials for wave phenomena, such as frequency and amplitude filters, cloaking devices, shockwave dispersion...
