Welcome!

My passion has been creating environments in which children can learn with passion. In 1994 I founded Juan Uribe Ensino Afetivo, a language school for children, where kids learn English affectively through play, games, storytelling, and puppeteering.

I have a Bachelors degree in Pedagogy from the Catholic University in São Paulo (PUC-SP) and I hold a Masters in Education in Human Development and Applied Psychology from OISE at the University of Toronto. In my studies I am always interested in researching and debating more about how self-esteem, motivation, student engagement, and technology relate to learning.

I write a blog called Children Learning English Affectively and moderate a facebook page called Affective Language Learning.
