Judge Harry Field

A lifetime resident of Lake County, Ohio, Judge Harry Field attended Willoughby South High School before pursuing his postsecondary education at The Ohio State University and the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. On January 1, 2012, he began his elected six-year term as the full-time municipal court judge for the City of Willoughby. Judge Harry Field comes to this position after serving eight years as a Willoughby Municipal Court magistrate. During his tenure as magistrate, he assumed the role of acting judge on numerous occasions. He first sat as acting Willoughby Municipal Court judge in 1983.

In his 2012 bid to replace retiring Willoughby Municipal Court Judge Larry Allen, Harry Field defeated three other candidates by capturing nearly 49 percent of the popular vote. He currently oversees cases on both the criminal and civil dockets. Judge Field is an active member of the American Judges Association, the Northern Ohio Municipal Judges Association, and the Association of Municipal/County Judges of Ohio.
