Rockets, computers, electronics and tech have always inspired and driven me to new challenges. Especially mobile devices; my favourite toys have been Palm Pilots, Laptops, iPaqs, iPods, and iPads, and cell phones. Doubly so when they allow people to reach out and connect.

I've been lucky enough to grow up in New Zealand, and then travel, live, teach, learn and work in Japan and Canada, with a few side trips to places like the US and Finland.

Work has been teaching English in Japan, and software development: from core GSM switches to Nokia mobile phone development. Most recently Test and Release lead.

Employers have included the Japanese government, Motorola, Radisys and Nokia. (My resume.)

Most importantly, I'm blessed with a loving family and a cadre of good friends.
