Julita E Baker, PhD
Food Choice Educator in San Francisco, California
You're likely to find Julita researching, running, teaching, running, writing, running, working on The Science of Food Choice, or running. If she’s not doing one of those, she’s running. She aspires to excite new ways of thinking in health & nutrition and cares deeply to help people live to their full (Food Choice) potential.
Her goal is to serve as a channel between complex scientific findings and their practical application, with an ultimate goal of helping people create their own food selections, specifically:
Aligning their OWN food TASTES & PREFERENCES with their long-term goals, values, and life vision.
Julita received a PhD in Nutritional Biology from UC Davis, and is currently a Food Choice Educator & Program Designer. She is an instructor for Stanford University, in the Continuing Studies Program, and consults independently. She deconstructs research in Nutrition, Neuroscience, Psychology, & Consumer Behavior, and designs courses and programs for implementation, making health knowledge more available and usable.
She finds that running, both competitively and recreationally, serves as a parallel narrative to The Science of Food Choice (and life.... for that matter).
