More about me:
I blog a bit at DowntownDame.com. I started writing in 2010 about what was going on in downtown Raleigh, where I live. It's evolved quite a bit since then, and I finally wrote a new post after some time off.
I love being outside and getting my hands dirty. I'm into creating stuff with herbs and gardening my little plot inside the beltline.
In my 20s when I was in between jobs, I worked outside all day for a year delivering, planting, and pruning trees for the City of Raleigh.
Other past job fun facts:
My first job out of college was with the successful PR firm, blast! PR.
I lived in Brooklyn and worked at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan for a year.
Other things I've made:
My sister and I used to make and sell handmade greeting cards.
I was a technical editor for the book "The foundation for an open source city" by Jason Hibbets (2013)
I was an Assistant Director for the short film "Trust" by Paul Sapp (2012)
