Justin Zatkoff

Justin Zatkoff is currently pursuing a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan with an expected graduation date of May 2014. At UDM Law, Mr. Zatkoff is a member of both Law Review and Moot Court. Moot Court is an extracurricular activity that simulates court proceedings, among both the students and faculty. Every year the school holds the G. Mennen Williams Moot Court Competition, an internal trial and appellate moot court competition, and in his first year, Justin Zatkoff was a Quarter-finalist. He also works as a Teaching Assistant for the law school, assisting the Applied Legal Theory and Analysis (Legal Writing) program.

Gaining relevant legal experience as he pursues his advanced degree, Justin Zatkoff served as a summer intern in the Court of Hon. Lawrence P. Zatkoff, a U.S. District Judge in the Eastern District of Michigan. He also worked for the law offices of Shifman & Carlson, P.C. Working in the political field, Justin Zatkoff spent 18 months as a Political Consultant with national political consulting firm. He was hired to consult for a variety of campaigns and organizations, working with a number of groups including the College Republican National Committee, the Rick Snyder for Governor, and John McCain for President campaigns.

Justin Zatkoff studied Political Science at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan as an undergraduate. At Oakland University, he was a member of the Track and Field team, and continues to enjoy fitness, running, and participating in triathlons.

Mr. Zatkoff is a donor to various organizations, including the Junior League of Ann Arbor, and is an active member of the University of Michigan Victors Club.
