Karim Khayat

One of Lebanon’s top business executives, Karim Khayat has founded and led several prominent companies during his successful career. One of his most successful companies is Middle East Power (MEP), which strives to enhance energy production in the Middle East with new wireless smart meters in central and southern Iraq. Karim Khayat also serves as chief executive officer of the Tahseen Khayat Group (TKG), a company with interests in the publishing, media, hospitality, utilities, and construction industries. Under Mr. Khayat’s direction, the company has diversified its holdings while expanding significantly.

Karim Khayat earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the American University in Beirut before embarking on his business career. In addition to his work with TKG, he has founded leading companies in the hospitality and sports industries. Previously, he launched Phoenix Hospitality Management, a company that provides brand management, consulting, and technical assistance to hospitality firms. He also led the development of SportsVille, a sports complex designed to serve the Beirut community.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Khayat commits himself to a range of civic duties. In addition to serving on the board of directors for Garnet Publishing, he currently sits on the board of the Lebanese International University.
