Karlita Waackafella

Karla Flores (a.k.a. Karlita Waackafella) is a competitive street style dancer and performer. The arts have always had a special place in her heart from illustration, spoken word, theater, and her most dominant style: dance.

Karlita started out with her first love breakdancing for the first 6 years of her dance journey. In 2011, she began to study other styles such as house, locking, samba, west african and her new focus: waacking. Currently, she has teamed up with her partner in crime Nikki Waacks to form the Waack Sisters, founded the performance collective Disco Energi, and has thrown her community event Do It Disco. Now she remains one of the main leaders of the waacking scene in the Bay Area through her teachings, outreach, and event planning for the community.
