My name is Karol Brassard. I am a private venture capitalist, techno-entrepreneur, digital marketing consulting expert for businesses operating in the United States, Canada and France. I am currently the Executive Chairman of BrassCoCaptial, BrassCo Real Estate, gTechna Electronic Ticketing Systems, KotientConseils, Inc. and Consultem Services, Inc.
My education includes having studied in Management and Marketing at HEC Montréal from 1985 to 1987 majoring in Finance and later on Administration and Business Intelligenceat Cégep de Jonquière. Soon after,I began my business ventures as the President and CEO of Univers Info Groupe.
In 1987, I founded NexxlinkTechnlogies. I would go on to serve on the board until the company’s acquisition by Bell Canada in 2005—to whom it still operates today as Bell Business Solutions.
My management and consulting expertiseincludes experience inBusiness Intelligence, Risk Reduction and Project Management, Private Equity Investments on Information Technology, Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Venture Capital Investments and Value Creation.
Throughout the years I have received several awards and distinctionsincluding the 1992 Arista Award as Québec’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year, the Mercuriades award for Company of the Year in 2001, the 2004 Technology CEO of the Year award by Desjardins as well as having placed twice as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Grand Prix finalistfor both 2003 and 2004.
