Karyn is a queer art machine working to achieve the utopian notion of accessible, audience-centered performance through the production of personal, immersive, and ritual theatrical environments that allow for the conscious and consensual transference of feeling between audience and performer.

Her work strives—not for the phallic notion of “answers”, but for a constant and steadfast complication of the questions themselves. Her preferred method for complication is using performance, video art, sound design, and sculpture to create immersive installation atmospheres. Within these mediums, she works toward creating performative spaces where euphoria and dysphoria can exist alongside one another in order to inspire a performance community of open and honest communication of needs, wants, and desires.
