Katherine Sopranos
Katherine Sopranos has worked more than 25 years in executive communications in top Fortune companies, including Boeing, ADM, Northern Trust and Tribune Company. She also has worked at Deloitte in market development. As a longtime C-suite advisor, she now serves as a management consultant to global corporations, nonprofits and startups. In addition, she serves as an executive coach, working with individuals and groups in leadership development to provide the business-skills training required for today's complex work environment.
As a management consultant, Katherine advises organizations on crisis communications, reputation management, change management, culture transformation and media relations, as well as branding and marketing solutions. She specializes in companies undergoing M&A activities, restructurings and reinventions.
As an executive coach, Katherine advises and instructs in strategic and persuasive communications, inclusive leadership, executive presence, change management, presentation skills, media training and business writing. She recently served six years as a faculty member at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where she was an instructor in the MBA program and also designed and facilitated classes in the executive education division. As an instructional designer and subject matter expert, Katherine also designed and developed a new course, Organizational Communications, for the business school’s three master degree programs.
Katherine has vast expertise and experience in CEO- and senior management-level strategy. During her more than 25 years working at Fortune 500 corporations, she developed and led global communications for high-profile corporate activities that included multibillion-dollar acquisitions, divestitures, financial earnings, investments, company reorganizations, plant closings, community giving, internet ventures and new product launches. In addition to serving as a company spokesperson, she served as the editor of company publications, including magazines and annual reports, and wrote hundreds of news and feature articles for company print and online media. In addition, she has assisted authors, documentarians and filmmakers with research and editing.
