Katherine Stone is an award-winning national advocate for maternal mental health.  In 2004, she founded Postpartum Progress, the most widely-read blog on postpartum depression & other mental illnesses related to pregnancy & childbirth. She was named as one of 2011's Top Ten Mom Bloggers by Babble.  Her blog has been named among the top ten depression sites on the web by PsychCentral, won a 2010 Fit Pregnancy Best of the Web Award, and is #8 on Babble's Top 50 Pregnancy Blogs. Katherine is a WebMD Health Hero, the 2010 Bloganthropy Award winner, and won a 2011 MHA Media Award. She is also the founder of Postpartum Progress Inc., a non-profit dedicated to vastly improving the support and services available for maternal mental health.   She speaks widely about postpartum depression, as well as on the topic of social media and cause blogging (Type A Parent, Blissdom, BlogHer, SXSW).
