Katy is into making human systems work better. She's driven by an enthusiasm for finding new ways to solve problems. She loves managing projects that bring together people with diverse expertise, from economics to psychology and urban planning.

Her goal is to drive business solutions that provide key goods and services, from clean water to mobile payments, to people living at the base of the economic pyramid.

Katy's fascinated by behavioral economics, big data, design thinking, and the science of decisionmaking, particularly as they can be applied to solving social problems more effectively.

She's currently at the Global Impact Investing Network catalyzing impact investment in businesses that address social and environmental problems. She's also worked at health social enterprises in Vietnam, grassroots organizations across Latin America, and think tanks in Washington.
