I am a grade one teacher who learns from and with her students. For six years my classroom has been connected to the world through web-based tools.
My students each have their own blog, which is a digital portfolio of their year's work. Their blogs include video, podcasts and images as well as their written work.
I share ideas about literacy and the ways that I use technology to support learning in my classroom with local and international audiences.
I have been fortunate to win several awards, including the Canadian Innovative Teacher Award from Microsoft, the Canadian Regional Award for Reading and Technology from the International Reading Association and the Kay L. Bitter Award from ISTE.
