A doctoral degree helps to develop a multitude of transferable skills. For me, it was skills in project and people management, research, creative problem-solving, communication, and perseverance.

During my ten years of experience working and volunteering (domestically and abroad) with non-profit organizations that help vulnerable populations, I have served as caseworker, manager, publicity director, webmaster, and researcher. I am a natural communicator and leader of collaborative initiatives.

My path is the result of my strong background in research, my genuine passion for helping refugees, underprivileged children, and people affected by disaster, my belief that collaboration is more effective than competition, and my unquenchable thirst for learning about other cultures.
