Based in Washington, DC, Kathy Minardi continues to leverage her extensive career as an educational leader. Providing guidance to independent schools, she contributes her expertise to Aidan Montessori School, which is recognised by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and accredited by The Association of Independent Maryland and DC Schools (AIMS). Students, faculty members, and parents have benefited from Minardi’s understanding of community building, workshop design, and systems thinking. Remaining with projects from the initial conception to completion, Kathy Minardi has designed a strong faculty and staff community and administrative team.

In recognition of her accomplishments, Minardi has been invited to speak at numerous industry events. In August 2012, she discussed school leadership at the Australian Montessori Head's forum in Sydney, Australia. Several months later, Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) selected her to join the Host Planning and Designing Committee for America's first AMI Summit. Her position as vice president of the board of the Montessori Administrators Association resulted in her being chosen to have a spot on the AMI Stewarding Council. In the summer of 2013, Kathy Minardi participated in symposiums such as The New York Times Global Forum in San Francisco and the International Montessori World Congress. This July 2014 she will faciliate a workshop on strategic planning for NAMTA in Traverse City, Michaigan and then join the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence for an indepth training for school leaders.
