Kati Varela

Originally from Venezuela, Sydney is home since 2001. I am very happily married and have two cheerful daughters.

I trained in computer graphics in France and worked in that area for about 5 years. I then felt into teaching almost by chance and have been teaching languages for over ten years. In 2021, I will be working in a distance education environment, a new challenge! I definitely find language learning and learning in general fascinating.

I strongly believe in leading children and young adults to becoming independent and confident human beings who recognise their ability to be agents of positive change.

I enjoy travelling and have a strong interest in exploring different cultures. l love reading and having a good (interesting) conversation with both friends and newly met people.

People who know me would describe me as curious, helpful, trustworthy and determined.
