Katrina Swan Hansen

Atlanta, GA

An accomplished tax professional based in Atlanta, Georgia, Katrina Swan Hansen spent four years as a Tax Manager with the accounting firm Jamestown, where she managed real estate partnership and nonresident alien tax returns. Hansen acted as a supervisor for fellow staff members and gained a wealth of experience in partnership taxation. Hansen received instruction in calculating the inside and outside basis of a partnership and allocating profits and losses for partnerships of various sizes.

In 2003, Katrina Swan Hansen accepted an offer to become a Staff Tax Accountant with KPMG in Atlanta. In this capacity, she prepared Forms 1120, 1120-F, and 1065 for real estate and partnership tax returns. Hansen worked closely with a wide range of clients, including a prominent company involved in car racing and real estate. Hansen also volunteered to help low-income individuals prepare their tax returns and participated in the intern-mentoring program at the firm.

Today, Katrina Swan Hansen serves as a Tax Manager with Windham Brannon, a premier Atlanta accounting company, where she oversees tax returns for partnerships, individuals, and nonresident aliens, especially in regard to real estate investments. In addition to managing the client base and handling all client budget and billing concerns, Hansen reads a number of partnership agreements, focusing her expertise on the specific allocation of income among partners.

Aside from her work as a tax professional, Katrina Swan Hansen maintains an active role in community service organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless. In her free time, Hansen enjoys baking, hiking, running, knitting, gardening, and reading French literature.

Hansen holds a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University and a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University.
